Terms of Service
In plain terms: this is a tool that saves posts you can already see to your own computer. What you do with those files is your responsibility — respect other people's copyright. We give you 10 free downloads a day, we may change or discontinue the service, and we can't promise it will never break.
1. Agreement
By installing or using the Post Image Saver browser extension ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Extension.
2. What the Extension does
The Extension adds a download button to posts on Instagram that you are already able to view in your browser. When you click it, the Extension fetches the media files from Instagram's content servers and saves them to your computer at their original quality.
The Extension does not bypass any access restriction. It cannot access private accounts you do not follow, and it works only with content your own logged-in session is already permitted to see.
3. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for how you use the Extension and the files you save. You agree:
- To respect copyright. Photos and videos on Instagram usually belong to the person who posted them. Saving a copy for personal reference is generally different from republishing, selling, or claiming it as your own. Get permission before you reuse someone else's work.
- To comply with Instagram's own Terms of Use and with the laws that apply to you.
- Not to use the Extension to harass, stalk, or infringe the rights of anyone.
- Not to resell, redistribute, or reverse engineer the Extension itself.
- Not to attempt to circumvent the download limits or payment system.
4. Accounts
You need an account to use the Extension. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since it is how you sign in. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to bypass limits, or use the Extension unlawfully.
5. Free and paid usage
The free plan includes a limited number of downloads per day. Limits, pricing, and plan features may change; we will give reasonable notice of changes that affect paying users.
If paid plans are offered, payment terms, renewal, and refund conditions will be presented at the point of purchase and form part of these Terms.
6. Availability
The Extension depends on Instagram's website continuing to work the way it does today. If Instagram changes its site, the Extension may stop working, in whole or in part, with no notice. We will try to fix such breakages but cannot guarantee we can, or how quickly.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension or any of its features at any time.
7. No warranty
The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that files will always download successfully.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Extension. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Extension is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Extension or your infringement of anyone else's rights, including copyright claims relating to content you downloaded and then reused.
10. Relationship with Instagram
Post Image Saver is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
11. Privacy
Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Extension after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
